AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid) is a mild exfoliator that works by triggering your skin's natural shedding process. This acid is derived from natural substances like sugar cane, grapes, milk, or almonds. AHAs are mainly felt on the skin's surface, therefore, they target acne scars, dead skin, and hyperpigmentation.

BHA (Beta Hydroxy Acid) is also a mild exfoliator, but unlike AHA, BHA is able to penetrate deeper into the skin. It can bypass pore-clogging oil and dissolve the sebum and dead skin that lead to acne. BHAs can clear up blackheads, whiteheads, and contain anti-inflammatory properties.
