Animal testing was officially banned in South Korea in 2018. So doesn't that mean all Korean beauty products are technically cruelty-free?
No. Brands that do all their manufacturing and ingredient testing in Korea are indeed cruelty-free. However, animal testing is not prohibited in China. There are still many Korean brands that choose to do some or all of their manufacturing there in order to bypass animal testing legislation. This is why research is so important. Luckily, we've taken care of that for you.

Why are some brands labeled cruelty-free when they manufacture products containing snail mucin and bee venom?
This is a question we at Sinless Skincare had ourselves! These two ingredients are excretions produced by animals, and not the animals themselves. The methods for collecting these excretions, as far as we can tell from our research, do not harm the animals themselves. Annoyingly vague? I know. Don't worry, we have a blog post in the works on this very topic.

I can't read Korean. How do I know when my product expires?
제조 = Manufactured date
까지Expiration Date

Unopened products are generally good for 2-3 years from the date of manufacturing (제조). Once opened, most products will last 1 year (but a sheet mask must be used immediately!). This may vary from product to product, so if you're not sure, please contact us.

Do you have a rewards program? 
Though we do love loyalty, we don't believe in dangling a carrot in front of potential customers in order to earn it. To be honest, we find the whole concept of loyalty rewards kind of manipulative. We hope that you stick with us because you value the same things we value. We are generous by nature though! We love surprising our customers with random gifts and discounts to thank them for supporting us.

Can I cancel or change my order?
Please send an email right away to hello@sinless-skincare.ch, and if we haven't shipped your order we can apply any changes or or cancel it for you. However, once an order has already been shipped, it is not possible to change or cancel it. 

When will my order arrive?
For Switzerland-based customers, all orders are shipped via Swiss Post. After a processing time of no more than 48 hours, expect your order according to the following schedules:

Economy - approx. 2-3 business days
Priority - approx.1-2 business days

If you live outside of Switzerland, please contact us for shipping info.

What payment methods do you accept?
Currently we accept payment by PayPal and bank transfers. We will soon offer TWINT, Post Finance, Visa, and Mastercard options.

How do I apply a discount code?
You will see a space to enter this code when you start the check-out process (on the right hand side of the page). Make sure you click "Apply" and you see the price change before proceeding.

Do you offer gift cards?
Yes! We have gift cards for purchase at values of 25, 50, and 100 CHF. You can find them here.

What countries do you ship to?
We ship within Switzerland and to any country in the EU. Please contact us directly for shipping information if you live outside of Switzerland.

The product I want is sold out. What should I do?
We find it annoying when shops have a sold out product listed on their page and its status never seems to change. We won't do this. If a product is sold out, expect it to be back in stock within a couple of weeks (could be a matter of days, depending on our wholesaler). If we don't plan on carrying a certain product again, we will simply discontinue it and inform our customers of this change via the newsletter.

Can I return a product/get a refund?
Please refer to our Refund Policy.

I received the wrong or damaged product. What should I do?
Please accept our most sincere apologies. Mistakes happen and though we package orders with great care, we can't control what takes place while in transit. Please take a picture of the product and email it to us at hello@sinless-skincare.ch. We will fix it.

I can't find my favorite cruelty-free brand. What should I do?
Our shop is still in its infancy, and of course our intention is to grow. There are several cruelty-free and vegan brands we fully intend to carry at some point in the not so distant future. If you would like something now, please get in touch with us. 

You carry my favorite brand but I'm not seeing many products. Why is this?
As mentioned above, our shop is still very new. We are in the process of building each brand's collection. Also, we promote skip-care - a minimalist skincare routine without all the bells and whistles. Our goal is to offer enough products for each skin type/issue so that you have a nice selection, but nothing crazy. We're no Myeong-dong! ;)

I used a product and my skin had a bad reaction.
We're very sorry to hear this. We choose products with safe ingredients, but of course, one never knows how the skin might react. It's important to always do a patch test first before using any product, and only introduce one new product at a time to your routine. There is some advice floating around suggesting that irritation is a sign of skin "detox" and one just needs to allow the skin time to adjust. There is some truth to this, but if you have a nasty reaction (pain, severe redness, inflammation), please stop using the product!

Do you give out free samples?
A K-beauty shopping experience just wouldn't be complete without the samples, right? As fun as those little freebies are for us, they aren't so fun for the environment. If we want to stay true to our mission and values (and we do), then we simply can't throw handfuls of samples in every order. But don't worry, we still understand the importance of letting our customers try the products we love, so every order will always contain at least one surprise.
