Everyone at some point in their life has turned to aloe vera gel to soothe a sunburn. However, its skin benefits don't just end there. 

Aloe vera is a gel-like substance that contains many vitamins (A and C), minerals, amino acids, enzymes (hello exfoliation!), and antioxidants. It's no wonder that aloe is incorporated in so many skincare products today.

It's anti inflammatory properties can help superficial (non-cystic) acne-prone skin, while those with dry skin can benefit from its hydrating properties. Aloe won't magically reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, but it can be used early on to prevent them from appearing.
