Collection: AHA
What is AHA?
AHAs (alpha hydroxy acids) are plant-based water-soluble acids. Examples of AHAs include glycolic acid and lactic acid. Citric acid, mandelic acid, tartaric acid, and phytic acid are weak AHAs.
What are the skin benefits?
AHA is a chemical exfoliant. It works at the surface of the skin, shedding away old skin cells so that new ones may generate, leaving your skin brighter and smoother than before. Since these acids promote cell turnover, over time your skin will have more even pigmentation. AHAs also help reduce the appearance of surface fine lines and wrinkles.
Who should use this ingredient?
AHAs are best for those with dry skin and surface-level concerns like fine lines and acne scars.
